In A Class By Yourself

By Donovan Grant

"Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make  your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

Martin Luther King

David Beckham is the famous goal scorer for England football team. Imagine if tomorrow they told David, that he had to play as a defender, he would probably be average or worse. True?

Maria Carey is one of the world’s great singers. Imagine if tomorrow they told Maria she had to make her living
as a politician, most likely she'd be average or worse. Right?

Will Smith is one of the hottest actors in the world. Imagine if tomorrow they told Will he'd have to make his
living as an accountant, most likely he'd be average or worse. True?

Remember this:

We were all born for a unique mission.

There is a job or business where your unique ability and flair can serve a large number of people and reward you with deserved wealth. The best bit is that the nearer you get to this role, the place where your success is to be expected, the higher the possibility of living your dreams becomes.

The question is…

Why don't most people aim to find their mission?

One word…

Awareness.

Look at it this way…

Most people are not aware of what really makes them tick and what the role is that they were born to do.

Most people are not aware of their natural strengths and do not develop them towards their limitless potential.

Most people are not aware that they can find a career or business doing what they love to do while earning a super income.

Just pause for a moment…

Imagine that you were now providing a service that you are passionate about and you do so well. This thing is sooo much fun for you that it doesn’t even feel like work to you.

And now imagine that you are 95 years old sitting in your rocking chair reflecting on the many good moments in your life. And then you let out a sigh as you reflect on your untapped skills, abilities and potential that you never used because you lacked the know-how, because you kept waiting for the perfect moment or because you were just too scared to get out of your comfort zone.

My friend, there is one thing that you must know no matter what you have got going for you at the moment:

You are more than you appear to be. You have a unique gift waiting to be unwrapped and shared with the world.

You have a mission that only you can fulfil. It’s got your name on it. It's got your finger print on it. It has got your DNA all over it! But, if you don’t make it happen then no one will!

Now is the time to get started.

Now is the time to stop planning and to take action.

Now is the time to discover who you really are…

To help you get started, please try this simple exercise. Grab a pen and a piece of paper and answer the following questions (without editing as you go). Once you have your answers find a quiet moment to sit and review them. Take your time and see if any exciting themes leap off the page as possible ideas to look into:

1.     What are 10 great qualities that you love about yourself

2.     What are 10 great qualities that others complement you for

3.     What are 10 of your achievements that you are really proud of

Feel free to add to the lists at any time as this will serve as a reference for you as you proceed to find your mission.

Go for it because you're worth it!

And remember that you are in a class all by yourself, so there is no competition!

I believe in you and I believe in your dreams.   Thank you for allowing us to serve you each and everyday!

Great article Donovan Most people see the world and their lives as they have been conditioned to see it based on their past. It is not until they become aware that they have the power to change their circumstances and how to do so, then they can turn their passions into successful careers.
